FRANCISCO AGUABELLA MURIO EL VIERNES 9 DE MAYO TRAS UNA LARGA BATALLA CONTRA EL CANCER.
Famoso por su maestría con las tumbadoras, Aguabella emigró de Cuba en la década de 1950 y debutó en Estados Unidos con la legendaria bailarina Katherine Dunham en la película Mambo.
Fue más conocido por su trabajo con jazzistas como Gillespie y Tito Puente, pero a menudo tocó otros géneros, como rock, en discos de artistas como Santana y los Doors.
Aguabella siguió tocando hasta el final y el sábado iba a tocar en un café en Fullerton.
Orna Rachovitsky dice que el concierto fue cambiado para rendirle un tributo a Aguabella.
